Responsibilities:
- Oversee process simulations, preparing process flow schemes, mass balances and equipment sizes, and preparing reports. Develop concepts, determine impact on overall design (Cost, Schedule, Process Control, Process Safety, Equipment Selection, Layout, Materials etc.) and perform debottlenecking studies.
- Contribute to defining the overall process scheme in the most efficient and cost-effective manner to meet client specifications and project/commercial constraints.
- Setup process simulation models (using UniSim or Hysys software). Check P&IDs starting from process schemes (PFD, Material Selection diagram, Simplified Control Diagram, and preliminary P&IDs), including PFD/ UFD/ P & ID Update.
- Involvement in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, risk assessment and HSE reviews.
- Advising on process safety issues.
- Review Vendors - documentation and to participate in sub-supplier technical alignment meeting.
- Sizing criteria/ calculation and report for such as Line/ PSV/ Control Valve/ Flow element/ Restriction orifice, etc.
- Issue Process Calculation Reports and Process Lists like Piping Hydraulic Calculation Report, Utility consumption list and calculation, pressure drop calculations, Flare load calculation and Various check list preparation, etc.
- Prepare Safety Mechanical Isolation Philosophy.
- Develop the Process control and operation philosophy Description-Process Control Narratives, Start-up and Shutdown Procedures and Operating procedure writing and Maintenance Manual.
- Check and approve emergency shutdown procedure and reports.
- Lead process and equipment optimization studies.
- Ensure implementation plan is executed for the system under study and propagated to other applicable systems.
- Initiate process safety relief audit studies.
- Independently perform process and project activities with general instruction.
- Recommend and coordinate process improvement activities with the line support and operations groups (lean initiatives).
- Involvement in a large variety of work, from process optimization, production efficiency improvements, tie-in studies.
- Ensure that required Process Safety design principles are incorporated in the design.
- Provide input to Operating and Maintenance manuals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in oil & gas engineering preferred advanced degree.
- At least 10 years of process engineering experience in O&G.
- Work experienced with Cogeneration power plant , and O&G companies.
- Knowledge of water and steam theory.
- Experience in an engineering position for Design, Control, Automation, Process Engineering, Safety, HAZOP for Oil and Gas industry.
- Experienced with the following process simulation tools, process monitoring tools, development of process drawings, process calculations, etc.
- Ability to work well within a multi-cultural environment and customer review meetings.
- Be proficient in knowledge of industry code and standards.
- Excellent experience and knowledge in design and modification, reviewing the standards and how to develop and evaluate studies.
- Process Design and Modelling experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and technical report writing skills.
- Commitment to Health and Safety in the workplace and the use of safe work systems.
- Be fluent in spoken and written English.
- Tools skill: Hysys/ Unisim simulation software, PidXp release 5, AVEVA instrumentation, Autocad and MS office, etc.
