E-INFRA holding includes: Electrogrup, EPC contractor for complex projects in critical infrastructure for energy and renewable energy, construction and telecom projects, Nova Power and Gas active in energy production, energy and gas supply, natural gas distribution and energy and gas trading, Netcity Telecom, a company that develops and operates the metropolitan fiber optic infrastructure in Bucharest, Direct One, the operator of the largest neutral long distance fiber optic network with national coverage, maintenance services and telecom projects and WESEE, offering full installation and maintenance services for wind parks.

At this moment, we are looking for a Commercial Director to join Direct One, part of the E-Infra group. The Commercial Director will be responsible for driving the company’s business growth, overseeing the development of new telecom infrastructure projects, and managing the commercial strategy to maximize revenue and market share. This role combines strategic planning, business development, and commercial leadership, requiring both technical expertise and strong business acumen.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Growth Strategy
Develop, implement, and continuously refine the company’s growth strategy across IP/MPLS network, fiber-optic infrastructure, security/CCTV systems, data services, automation etc.
Identify and validate new business verticals (e.g., smart infrastructure, perimeter security, industrial automation, AI-powered surveillance, IoT private networks).
Analyze target markets and define expansion opportunities across regions, customer segments, and strategic industries (telecom, utilities, energy, enterprise, government).
Commercial Leadership
Build and execute comprehensive commercial strategies aimed at revenue growth, margin optimization, and long-term profitability.
Lead end-to-end commercial processes, including pricing models, tendering, negotiation, contracting, and long-term IRU agreements.
Manage and develop strong relationships with telecom operators, integrators, utilities, infrastructure providers, and key enterprise customers.
New Business Opportunities & Innovation
Develop new integrated service portfolios combining fiber infrastructure, CCTV, access control, IoT, and advanced security and automation technologies.
Drive initiatives in AI-based video analytics, CCTV & security sistems, automation, SCADA-light systems, and predictive monitoring.
Act as a catalyst for digital transformation and process automation inside the company.
Project Oversight & Delivery Excellence
Oversee the full lifecycle of infrastructure and security projects—from concept and feasibility to design, implementation, and commercialization.
Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with technical, regulatory, and industry standards (including ANCOM, low-voltage regulations, and GDPR/security requirements).
Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between technical, operations, financial, legal, and customer-facing teams.
Financial, Market & Competitor Intelligence
Evaluate the commercial and financial viability of new projects, including ROI forecasts, CAPEX/OPEX modeling, and risk assessment.
Monitor industry trends, competitor strategies, market dynamics, and regulatory changes to ensure the company remains ahead of market shifts.
Provide strategic recommendations to the executive board based on data-driven market insights.
Client Relationship Management
Strengthen and expand long-term customer relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and service excellence.
Lead strategic account planning and identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and service expansion.
Act as executive sponsor for key clients and large-scale projects.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary team covering commercial, technical pre-sales, product development, and project management.
Promote a high-performance culture focused on accountability, innovation, customer impact, and continuous improvement.
Ensure alignment of teams with company goals, KPIs, and strategic priorities.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field (mandatory).
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a managerial or director-level position within the telecommunications / IT&C industry.
Proven experience in business development, commercial management, or infrastructure project development.
Demonstrated ability to bridge technical solutions with commercial outcomes and client requirements.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and good financial understanding.
Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
